1. Information we receive
AEGIS may receive information needed to operate its Discord bot and dashboard, including Discord user IDs, server IDs, server names and icons, role/channel identifiers, configuration settings, command or moderation records, and information you voluntarily provide through dashboard forms.
When you sign in with Discord, AEGIS receives the account information and server information permitted by the OAuth scopes requested by the application.
2. How we use information
Information is used to authenticate you, connect you to servers you can manage, store server configuration, operate bot features, provide moderation/security functionality, troubleshoot errors, and maintain the service.
3. How information is stored
Configuration and operational data may be stored in the AEGIS application database. Authentication credentials and sensitive tokens are intended to be handled server-side and are not meant to be exposed in normal dashboard pages.
5. Discord information
AEGIS uses Discord's APIs and OAuth system to provide its features. Discord independently controls its own platform, accounts, policies, and data processing. You should also review Discord's privacy practices for information handled directly by Discord.
6. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect AEGIS data. However, no internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Data retention
Operational data is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant AEGIS feature, maintain server configuration, investigate abuse or errors, and meet legitimate operational or legal requirements. Removing AEGIS from a server does not necessarily delete historical records immediately.
8. Your choices
You can stop using AEGIS, remove the bot from a server, or stop using the dashboard. For questions about data associated with your use of AEGIS or a deletion request, contact AEGIS through the support page and include enough information for the request to be verified.
9. Children
AEGIS is intended for use through Discord and is not designed to knowingly collect information directly from children. Discord's own age and safety requirements continue to apply.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when AEGIS changes or when legal or operational requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
